Some of the e-mails and domain names mentioned
above and found in the headers of the e-mails we received may be
faked. Some were victims of a fraudulent use. However, it is
EVERYBODY's responsibility to ensure their computer is clean and
does not contain viruses, and when an incident does occur,
immediate actions are taken to clean it.
If your e-mail or server/domain name is
mentioned above, send us an e-mail requesting to be removed. In
order to consider your request, you MUST copy and paste in your e-mail
one the following messages:
- 1) "Acting in good faith, to the best
of my knowledge:
- - My computer was never willingly used for
illegal or unethical activities, including threats,
hacker attack, virus spreading.
- - The e-mail never originated from my
computer, and I believe that the header is faked; if the
e-mail did originate from my computer, the problem is now
resolved.
- - I have installed an antivirus software
on my computer; I am updating the virus definition file
and check the entire computer monthly.
- - I do not use on my computer any
unauthorized software, or from unverified sources, which
may contain viruses."
- 2) "Acting in good faith, to the best
of our knowledge:
- - Our server was never willingly used for
illegal or unethical activities, including threats,
hacker attack, virus spreading.
- - The e-mail never originated from, or
relayed through our server, and we believe that the
header is faked; if we did have a problem, the problem is
now resolved.
- - We have installed an antivirus software
on our server; we are updating the virus definition file
and check the entire server weekly.
- - We do not use on our servers any
unauthorized software, or from unverified sources, which
may contain viruses.
- - When we discover that we have a problem
with our server, such as a virus infection, or being used
to relay viruses or hacker attacks, we are taking
immediately all reasonable measures to stop it, including
shutting down the server, if necessary."
To remove an user e-mail address, the e-mail must be sent from
that specific e-mail.
The domain name will be removed only if the request for
removal comes from the site webmaster, whose e-mail address is
posted on the respective website.
- Thanks for your cooperation,
- Security officer on duty

-
- Some advice from our Security officer on
duty:
- - Never open an attachment that ends in: .com,
.exe, .bat, .lnk, .pif
- - Make a copy of the e-mail header and
send it to a law-enforcement agency, in charge with
Internet threats.
- - Use the services of an expert in
Internet Security to track down the real origin of the
threat, so you can understand who is doing it, why, and
what are your options.
- - A list of e-mail addresses we strongly
suggest to everybody to block: E-mail addresses to block.
